SANTA CATARINA, NUEVO LEÓN
Authorities have arrested 16 men and 3 women ho worked as hawks (look outs) and drug dealers for the Zetas. The arrests came after one ring leader was caught, who named another leader and that one then fingered all of the rest. Weapons, 2 torture tables, cell phones and radios, both powder and crack cocaine, marijuana, ammo and a vehicle were seized.

ACAPULCO, GUERRERO
Ten people have been killed here over this weekend. Some of the bodies were dismembered with parts scattered round. Two groups have been battling for control of the plaza there for more than a year, since drug lord Edgar Valdez Villarreal was arrested by Mexican authorities in 2010.

MEXICO CITY, DISTRITO FEDERAL
The Mexican government has extradited to the United States Sergio Villarreal Barragan , one of the leaders of the drug cartel of the Beltran Leyva brothers facing charges in the US for conspiracy, money laundering and drug trafficking. He was considered the number 2 of the Beltran Leyva cartel until his arrest in September 2010, and will be prosecuted in federal court in Texas.

GUERRERO
Five people were found executed not far from a state police barracks along a roadway. Shell casings from a .223 cal. rifle and 9mm were found. There were 3 women and 2 men.

ACAPULCO, GUERRERO
Six more people were executed, with 3 of them dismembered. they were found at different locations around this tourist city. Some had narco messages left with the bodies.





GUERRERO
Three men were found executed along the Teloloapan-Iguala roadway, and cards were found which accused them of being extortionists and kidnappers.

NUEVO LEÓN
Five people were assassinated within a period of 10 minutes, with 3 being a woman, her son and another young person. The others were 2 men in a taxi.
