Never Ending Violence in Mexico…

MEXICALI, BAJA CALIFORNIA*

A 35 year old Mexican army major, Jesus Reyes Martinez, was found dumped in a sewage canal after being executed. He was identified through his military identification (dog tags) and ID in his wallet. No further information was furnished in the report. Elsewhere in Baja California, three unidentified charred bodies were found inside of a van in Tijuana.

TORREON. COAHUILA

Four bodies were found here when fire fighters came to extinguish a fire. A total of at least 16 were executed in the states of Sonora, Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon and Jalisco on Sunday.

CULIACAN, SINALOA

Three men were slain, and a 64 year old man gravely wounded, at a Father’s Day celebration. Investigators recovered shell casings from AK-47 rifles.

MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN

An unidentified man was let out of a pick up truck, and then gunned down in broad daylight on Monday in front of numerous witnesses.

JIUTEPEC, MORELOS

Two people were found executed near the Hotel Almed.

TIJUANA, BAJA CALIFORNIA

State police arrested 2 persons and seized a total of more that 1.5 tons of marijuana from a vehicle and a house here, after making a vehicle stop and discovering marijuana in he trunk of the vehicle. The suspects then admitted to there being more in house.

AMATITÁN AND ZAPOPAN, JALISCO

Two people were executed, one in each locale. A decomposing body was found in a well in Amatitán, after municipal police received an anonymous report with the location. The second victim was a woman with gunshot wounds to the chest and head. She died during treatment at the local hospital.

ACAPULCO, GUERRERO

The bodies of a man and woman were found near the entrance to the Maxitunel, appearing to be a brother and sister due to the identical last names. Near the road to Ixtapa, three black trash bags were found, containing the pieces of a dismembered unidentified body.

SINALOA

A 44 year old man was shot near Huixiopa, close to Badiraguato, in the mountains of Sinaloa. He was flown by air taxi for treatment, but was dead on arrival.

CULIACAN, SINALOA

On Sunday afternoon, a 26 year old man was gunned down in broad daylight while gunmen were kidnapping two other men. As he saw what was happening, he began to run and was shot down with AK-47’s. The crime was committed before the astonished gaze of dozens of people and motorists.

CADEREYTA, NUEVO LEÓN

The remains of 49 people killed here over the past 5 weeks have yet to be identified despite scientific evidence such as DNA. There have been some people that have come to see if any of the 43 men and 6 women might be family, but none have matched up.

ESCOBEDO, NUEVO LEÓN

Three men working on a block wall were shot while working, two of them fatally. The wounded man was identified as being 19 years old by his mother, who said that a criminal group had been threatening he and other youth in the area for months.
