VIOLENCE IN MEXICO…

STATE OF MEXICO

The Attorney General announced the arrest of four men related to the recent discovery of clandestine graves with the remains of 6 people. The graves were in San Juan Yautepec, municipality of Huixquilucan , State of Mexico. They posed as police, kidnapped victims, and even when ransom was paid, killed the victims anyway.

GUADALAJARA, JALISCO

Three young people have been executed here, with two aged 15 and 16 years old. Another that was with one of the victims was gravely wounded, shot in the neck. Municipal police managed to arrest one of the shooters.

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, VERACRUZ

Mexican Marines and State Police have arrested Victor Manuel Ramirez Navarro, 36, a native of Guerrero, identified as an accountant for Los Zetas and second in command of the narco-cell in the Maya Riviera . He has a long criminal history, but has been allowed to bail out or had charges dropped by corrupt officials.

CHILPANCINGO, GUERRERO

The BL cartel attacked a 15th birthday celebration and opened fire, killing 5 people. Elsewhere in Acapulco-Cuernavaca, six others were killed in the continuing dispute over the plaza.

IRAPUATO, GUANAJUATO

On Monday, human remains were found abandoned on a train platform on the route which runs from Guadalajara to Piedras Negra. This is the third find in 11 days time. The remains are in plastic bags, and contain the dismembered body parts.

CHIHUAHUA, CHIHUAHUA

Four were killed in an attack on a van, with 2 victims inside and 2 outside. One victim made it to a hospital alive, but died from multiple gunshots.

MERIDA, YUCATAN

Extortionists are using children attending summer courses to threaten parents and sow fear. The kidnapping unit of the state police issued a warning, telling the public to ignore the threats but promptly notify authorities. Some schools have issued a badge to the only ones authorized to pick up children.

CIUDAD GUZMAN. JALISCO

Four people were killed here early Monday. All had been shot.
