NUEVO CASAS GRANDES, CHIHUAHUA*
The state attorney general’s office announced that Jose Luis Padilla Arias, the municipal director of transito was kidnapped and his body later found. His relatives later reported that months ago his home was shot up by AK 47’s but he refused to move or accept police protection.
SAN BLAS, SINALOA
Municipal police confirmed the finding of three bodies, two tied inside black plastic bags. All had their hands tied behind their backs, and one had a message on the side that similar things will happen to the ‘mitoteros’ (Slang for those who get involved in other’s business; nosy.)
JEREZ, ZACATECAS
A narco banner was placed in the early morning of Monday by Zeta member, accusing other members and leaders of treason. It was removed by the Army minutes after being reported.
ZACATECAS
The secretary of the state police announced the conflict for control between Los Zetas and the Gulf cartels continues with the latter gaining greater presence. Additional state police resources have been deployed to municipalities without sufficient police patrols.
LÁZARO CÁRDENAS, MICHOACÁN
Two women were found stoned to death with large stones to their heads. They were identified as a 22 year old and a 24 year old.
TECPAN DE GALEANA, GUERRERO
Three men, executed with gunshots, were found hanging from a bridge along with a narcomessage.
TIJUANA, BAJA CALIFORNIA
A Russian citizen, identified as terrorist by the United States, was arrested in Tijuana, and had accomplices linked to the Sinaloa cartel, said the Secretary of Public Security of Baja California, Daniel de la Rosa Anaya. Georgiy Chipunov is accused of threatening to blow up the court facilities in San Diego, California, and assassinate judges and officers of the U.S., arrived two months ago this city. Following his arrest, he was extradited to the United States where he was considered highly dangerous. According to De la Rosa Anaya, he made no major activities here and had no opportunity to make connections with any criminal group.
CANCUN, QUINTANA ROO
The Marines, state and municipal police have arrested the leader of a group of ‘hawks’ or lookouts serving the Zetas, with most working as taxi drivers.
STATE OF MORELOS
A total of 15 people were slain over the 2 days of the weekend, which includes 7 women killed. The youngest victim was only 14 years old.
